I have issue with USB ports on my Mantiz Venus, I sincerely don't remember maybe I have the now discontinued dynamic firmware, any way to check this?

Could I use this tool to flash standard firmware to see it the issue are gone?

Eager to know this as well, I am basically in the exact same situation.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@ikir, You can verify if you have dynamic bandwidth firmware by running CL!ng. You H2D speed should be 22xx MB/s or higher. The other (non-dynamic) firmware doesn't go that high (< 19xx MB/s).

@mydoom_, If we get the non-dynamic FW .bin file from Mantiz, we can flash it using this tool. I had requested it, but have yet to receive it.

I suppose I have dynamic problematic firmware. When stressing SATA the bandwidth goes down to 1900MB/s but it reach 2400MB/s without anything else running

@ikir, what do you mean problematic? Do you not expect the bandwidth to go down to 1900 MB/s? If you're using 500 MB/s for SATA than that's 500 MB/s less bandwidth available for eGPU.

Mac mini (2018), Mac Pro (Early 2008), MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Sonnet Echo Express III-D, Trebleet Thunderbolt 3 to NVMe M.2 case

USB disk disconnections during data transfers, mouse stopping working for few seconds, and USB headset continuously skipping audio. They are unusable.

Just found this topic while searching for ways to change Power Delivery. I don't have a Mac, but this seems like an awesome tool, thanks! What interested me the most was the possibility of changing PD in the future. @mac_editor did you investigate this any further?

So sad to see Mantiz gone and users stuck with a problematic firmware.

Was excited to see this after weeks of failed efforts to flash the H2D firmware on my RX580 Gaming Box via Bootcamp. Sad to report this also isn’t working.

While waiting for the loading bar to complete the screen flashes several times and the bar resets, and eventually I end up at the MacOS system restore page asking me to identify a valid boot drive. Is the problem perhaps that my Mac partition is encrypted and forces me into this restore utility to enter the password?

Getting to the point where my best option is asking Facebook if I know anyone with a TBT3 windows machine...
