As a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 9th Gen owner, are there any TB4 enclosures out there in the wild? I'm also still confused about the difference in TB3 vs 4 for eGPU setups - the maximum speed of both ports is 40GB/s, but they have difference PCIe requirements and therefore should have differing performance?

@rhys_saldanha, Nope. I think we will have to build our own one-off TB4 enclosure to find out.

@rhys_saldanha, Sonnet has a huge post about it, probably because they were getting questions when TB4 started hitting devices.

Of course it seems that TB5 will start breaking some walls down maybe judging by that accidental Intel pic. Not sure technically how what was shown will relate to any improvement for eGPU, but the 80Gb bandwidth number gives some hope.
