Hi,

I've been searching for a solution for this one. I am currently using gswitch and the latest nvidia proprietary driver (470.63.01).

Everything works fine but as soon as I turned off the laptop display, the external display became so slow that it was unusable. Is there a way to fix this? I really want to be able to connect directly and use only the external monitor to get some more performance because my T470 has only 2 lanes for TB3.

I am currently running Manjaro 5.10.60-1

Thanks and Cheers!

My solution to this is to use Optimus Manager. I installed it and switched to nvidia graphics and it works! The first time I need to add "AllowExternalGpus" "True" to the config file. Gained over 5x the performance, I could even use the internal display as well. I'll leave this here in case someone needs it.

Cheers

@jeffne_schelin, Thanks for this solution sir. I have experienced this problem a year ago on my build, but i never was able to solve it.
