Hey Forum,

I've been extremely pleased with the performance of my Aorus Gaming Box 1070 on my Dell XPS 9570 for the past 6 months now. Using hertg's brilliant egpu-switcher setup script, I had my system running on Ubuntu 19.04 with nvidia's 390 drivers in no time.

A few nights ago, I upgraded to 19.10 with little fanfare, but after opening Kdenlive the computer froze. After a reboot, I tested handbrake and my computer froze up again. Same thing when I played a video on youtube. If I refrained from launching anything that calls for my GPU, I could keep the laptop from freezing. I tried purging nvidia's driver and updating to 435, and I'm seeing the same issue. I'm not quite sure how to proceed here. Any help would be appreciated!
