1080 eGPU performance for internal 4k display
I've been trying to find what fps a 1080 eGPU can achieve on an internal 4k display and how much the throttling is going to be.

There is a 8% drop in performance in eGPU compared to PCIe 1060 at 4k. However that is over Thunderbolt 2 and it is a 1060, so I'm wondering how a 1080 eGPU would do with internal 4k display. Now I know that there is going to be a lot of throttling, but from what I read today the less the frame the less the throttle. Could a 1080 eGPU at least maintain 30-40 fps on an internal display?
