Is it possible to have an eGPU setup with the following components:
MacBook Pro 2016 13"
Razer Core X
Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti
LG Ultrafine 5k Display

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

Yes and no.
There are no drivers for Mojave so you won't be able to accelerate apps.
Windows should be fine and you will be able to accelerate apps (check my set ups as they are similar) but IMO the 2080ti is way overkill for a 13inch MBP and the CPU will bottleneck the hell out of it.
1070/1070ti is kinda the sweet spot.
Also, you can't connect the 5K directly to the 2080 - the VR port doesn't work with it.

GTX1070 + Razer Core V1 + Win10
Vega 56 + Razer Core V1 + macOS + Win10
Vega 56 + Mantiz Venus + macOS + W10

Hey guys,

Can somebody tell me, shoud I switch from Evga 1050ti to MSI 560?
Components:
Macbook pro mid 2014 + Akitio Thunderbold 2

As everyone know, nvidia cards don’t work on MacOS Mojave 10.14 (and there no plans to release web drivers). What about AMD cards?
