Just purchased an early 2019 Razerblade Stealth (8th gen, intel i7 8565U) w/ Razer Core X and I’d like to purchase a video card that doesn’t get bottlenecked (or only slightly bottlenecked) by the 8565U chip.

Any advice for determining which video card will provide the most performance/$$$ given this CPUs limitations?

Also, I will be using an external monitor (4K and 1440p are both options).

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

You’re right in that Razer’s thermal management scheme will put a ceiling on performance.

Beyond that, only real-world video card testing with your personal gaming collection will give you a definite answer.

(Spoiler - COD Warzone will disappoint no matter what GPU or PC you go with).
