Best eGPU set up for a Pro Display XDR?

Hello!  I am currently using my MacBook Pro 16 i9, 5500m, 32gb ram with a Pro Display XDR.

Having some trouble locking down a good eGPU setup for high resolution gaming (mostly WoW).  Any solutions that would allow me to take advantage of the Pro Display XDR's thunderbolt 3 connection?

@twentyonekoala

Blackmagic had the only eGPU enclosure with a TB3 output. You don’t want that one.

Its possible Apple and Blackmagic might design a new model with a next-gen AMD card to use with the XDR. But there’s no plans or rumors at this point.

@mini-i5, Thank you very much for the response!  Really wish the 5700xt had a TB3 output.  I suppose the best option here is to just wait.

@twentyonekoala, use 5700 XT with Belkin VR2 cable. The only thing you'll miss is USB 3.0 from the USB ports of the XDR display - they'll work at USB 2.0 speed though.

Very cool. Good info.

@twentyonekoala

So, with this special cable, you can choose any enclosure you like to pair with an RX 5700 XT

Good Times.

@joevt Would the Radeon Pro w5700 work alright with the USB-C output on the card?  Really leaning toward that card to pair with the XDR.
