So what would be the best way to connect EGP, I can do it via Express Card, M2 2248 SATA/WWAN or the m2 type A  (wifi card iirc) ?

ExpressCard would be easiest since it's an externally accessible port.

Try all three and choose the one that sucks less. What's the PCIe link speed and width of those? SATA/WWAN won't be an option if it's only USB. Check if there's PCIe in there. This info should be available in the Device Manager or HWiNFO.

Do a search of the build guide for other L440 builds.

One build got a PCIe 2.0 x1 link through ExpressCard but it wasn't stable until it was switched to PCIe 1.0 or the cable was replaced.

Mkay, I checked for PCI-e, I only got the NGFF. I ordered an "cheap" system for the M2 and GDC for EC from aliexpress. I will update this up, and do an build when everything will arive 🙂
