Hi - I've decided to add an eGPU to my DELL Optiplex Micro 3070 (i5-9500T 6C/6T), but since I've got an NVME SSD already in the 4x M2 slot (and no M2 wifi card) I decided to go with the ADT-Link R53 solution. Something similar to @ciforia build here:
My question is what would be the optimal card for productivity (and perhaps casual games in lower settings) to makes use of the Gen3 PCH PCIe port (8Gbps) bandwidth. Recommendations for the 8.5 beast seem to be GTX 1060, but I've got no clue honestly. Thanks in advance for recommendations.

.Hi Laci, hope this is still relevant.
I guess you could probably go as high as you want. There's empirical evidence that even PCIe x1 3.0 outperforms TB3 connection ( https://egpu.io/forums/thunderbolt-enclosures/a-call-for-measurements-isolating-the-thunderbolt-effect/paged/17/)
Hi Laci,
Did you manage to get this setup working? I have tried to utilise my second m.2 slot (WiFi) and the adt r53 with zero success. Do you have any advice?
Thanks in advance.
