egpu purchase suggestions; rendering purpose
since im a freelance i wanted to be as much as free as possible and i started to dive into the egpu world and laptop supporting thunderbolt.
for the laptop, the xps 17 should work fine, has 4 ports thunderbolt 4.
the gpu i wanted to purchase was a 3080 ti; the egpus boxes i was looking at are: razer core x, sonnet breakaway , coolermaster eg200 and mantiz saturn pro. are there any difference or they work just as fine?
since my external gpu will be for rendering purposes, will i expet loss performance or will work as much as a normal desktop pci? i was reading also about to connect an external monitor in order to avoid loss performance...
@theanswer03, Sonnet Breakaway Boxes without extra USB or Ethernet ports have been quiet and trouble-free for me.
Attaching a 4K external display will get the best performance out of your eGPU setup (about 15% less than installing the graphics card in a desktop).
