Hi all!

Like others, I'm looking to consolidate my hardware. Currently, I'm gaming with a 2015 Lenovo Y50-70 w/960m 4GB and it's kinda terrible and my standards for improvement are low.

I do know there's some technical limitations with my 13" so I won't get full capability on most cards and I'm fine with that and in a way it makes shopping easier. So, I am thinking of this guy which I can get locally (if I can find it) for $140 after rebate and the Sonnet 350W eGPU. My monitor is a 21:9 3440x1440 and is FreeSync capable so I'd like to stay within the AMD realm. However, I don't care about interoperability with OSX, just need it to work in Boot Camped W10, if I can get a more capable nVidia card to compensate for the lack of FreeSync I am fine with that too. My games are more like Fallout-series, etc, no FPS or anything that would be more twitched based.

So... whats the question champ?
If you are sense checking your build I would suggest going for an Nvidia card due to hassle free (hopefully) set up (see my builds).

Note to mods: I'm still having lots of error 400's on this site, having to delete browsing data daily.

Thanks for the reply and your signature has what I am looking for. Although a 1070 will cost more than a 570/580 it seems to be the better route. I am running the latest Mojave though so I'll need to find someone who has that to be sure.
