is my laptop compatible?
Hi, I have had an MSI GS70 - 098 with GTX970M dedicated graphic card for a while. I would like to buy an eGPU as an upgrade for it so I can play relatively new titles at high to max settings at constant 60fps (glaring at you GRW). I know a bit about computers but to this whole mPCIe and PCIe affair, I am completely clueless. So please help me identify whether my computer can run eGPU with a GTX 970, and which eGPU dock from banggood should I buy. Thank you.
Here is a link to the internal similar to what I have in mine: MSI GS70 Internal.
I just recently purchased the Asus vivobook f556UA-UH71 for college this fall and I've started to consider adding a egpu for casual PC gaming during my free time at my desk, while also having a portable laptop for class. I'm not interested in purchasing anything pre assembled like the Razer Core so I was hoping someone could help we figure out weather or not this laptop is capable of having a custom egpu. I'm new to the topic so any information is helpful. Thanks.
Pls check known issues at following URL for what may arise with your eGPU implementation:
Hi to all. I want to buy eGpu Beast for my laptop(don't know which version yet) but first I want to know if it's compatible(mPcie). I have Lenovo G710 (i7 4702MQ / Intel Hd 4600 and GeForce 820m 2gb/ 16gb ram and 500SSD). And also can I put any graphic card or is there any prohibitions?
Thanks in advance!!
Many systems can be made to work. Before getting stuck in pls review the following article noting the Known Issues with the mPCIe interface:
With an existing implementation guide to confirm success, the best predictor of a successful implementation is to look at the known issues you will encounter. These are shown at https://egpu.io/external-gpu-buyers-guide-2017/#mPCIe-interface
This is the sort of question that is best directed to the eGPU adapter vendor.
Can anyone in the forums confirm this laptop to be compatible with a eGPU. It's a Asus gl552vw gaming laptop, this is actually my first entry into any kind of PC gaming, so i'm new to everything, terminology everything.. lol. Anyway the laptops specs are a core i7 6700hq, 960m graphics card, 16gb ram, 1tb storage. Here is a link to a tear down of the laptop i own and wish to use egpu with. From the research i've done i'd say yes, and the to connect egpu is very optimal this model. But as i said i'm new to all this and woild like to get it confirmed before i go out and buy all the nessesary components
There is no existing implementation for your system as a precedent. Best then is to inform yourself of known issues with the mPCIe eGPUs shown at https://egpu.io/external-gpu-buyers-guide-2017/#m2-interface . You may consider asking your eGPU adapter vendor for a compatibility assurance.
