Thunderbolt3 PCI-e card for HP Proliant DL380 Gen9 Server
Do you know or use any PCI-e based Thunderbolt3 card for servers?
Gigabyte Titan-Ridge add-in card would be your best bet.
Thank you for your suggestion. When I examined the device, I saw that it was connected to the THB-C port on the motherboard. Is there a requirement to make this connection? Or is it enough to connect only through PCI-e?
It depends on the motherboard firmware I guess.
Here's an example using the add-in card in a computer that was made before Thunderbolt existed:
Here's examples using the add-in card on AMD systems which were never meant to use Thunderbolt (by Intel):
There are future AMD boards that will allow fully functional Thunderbolt.
The add-in card may work in other systems such as the HP server. But it won't be fully functional (similar to above examples).
