With the release of the newer generation of GPUs, which GPUs are more beneficial for eGPUs, Nvidia RTX 3000 or AMD RX 6000?

For me, Nvidia GPU seems to have better build quality, while AMD's are cheaper. Also, some features from AMD are only available if you are also using AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs in conventional ways, which will not happen for eGPU users.

@matthew_kwong, Nvidia drivers have been consistently better than Radeon drivers. If you don't need the eGPU for macOS, it's an easy decision to go with RTX 3000 cards.

@itsage, I have heard that as well. Yet, I'm not sure whether my monitor is G-Sync compatible. After all, it is a very unique feature from Nvidia. I feel it is a bit of a waste of not using G-Sync while having a Nvidia card.
