hey
I have this  https://www.acer.com/datasheets/2016/4876/E5-575G/NX.GDZEZ.001.html
Notebook  amd would like to get a better, external gpu because I think it’s the weakest part of the specs. I don’t know much about this topic. I think a box gou would be cool, but I think u need thunderbolt for this (or can I plug them at the wireless card slot?) and I don’t have one, using an adapter isn’t an option I think, bc that would ruin the speed of the thunderbolt. So I wanted to ask 1. is there the possibility to add a thunderbolt port
2. If not, what adapter would be the best for my wireless card slot for a non-box gpu? No sure what type for slot it is. 3. what do you think is the most viable and effective way to gear up?

I appreciate all answers Smile

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

1. No.
2. It is possible to plug in an eGPU into wireless card slot, but first you need to find out what slot it is.
3. See above.

ThinkPad X230t, i7-3520M @ 2.9 GHz, Windows 7
EVGA GTX 1070 Hybrid, 2113 MHz @ 1043 mV
x1.2Opt, PE4C V3.0, 4Gbps-EC2

You can look at building a Homebrew eGPU setup. Google it, there are lots of vids. Keep in mind though you still need a decent GPU to put in the dock once you've built it. Your budget maybe tight.

This might help :  https://www.reddit.com/r/eGPU/comments/5jpf2x/diy_egpu_...

Good luck
