I bought the Aorus Gaming box that came with a GTX 1070 and long story short it wasn't compatible with my Macbook so I ended up selling the 1070 and found a second-hand R9 Nano. Installed it and it works great. But now I'm looking to upgrade it to the best and latest and I see there are not a lot of options for the mini-itx form factor. I want to remain with AMD because of compatibility issues. I see that Aorus now sells a model that comes with a RX 580 but I can't seem to be able to find the card for sale by itself, plus I would rather get something more recent if possible. Is the RX 5000 series due to release a mini-itx card that will be purchasable all by itself?

And are there any other options that I could go for?

Many thanks!

@vesper8 At the moment the RX Vega 56 Nano Edition is the only upgrade that fits the Gaming Box and works in macOS. I have been using an RX Vega Nano + Gaming Box and it’s not worth switching from your R9 Nano. The power consumption of the RX Vega 56 may cause the PSU to shut off during heavy load while charging the MacBook Pro.

thanks for the reply! That's good to know.

I did a little more digging and there seems to be a big demand and hope that there will be a new ITX form card released for the new Navi series: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/cs3ru9/petition_dear_amd_and_gpu_partners_we_would_love/
