Hi, This is my first egpu build, i picked up HP Omen last month, and i wondering what card to put in it, i'm thinking of either RX570 or RX580.

I can get an 4gb RX570 for ~ US$330 or 4gb RX580 for ~ US$400, i probably not going to be a high end user, i did wonder on getting an RX560, but i've been put off by post from other people here having issues getting it to work with macOS.

I would like to use in both mac and windows 10 boot camp

Looking at the build guides most people go for RX580, i just thinking of saving some money with using RX570, just wondering if it will cause me a bigger headache in the long run

Trying to save $70 by getting a RX 570 instead of a RX 580? You can answer your question on whether it's worth it by comparing the number of  RX 570 and RX 580 confirmed macOS 10.13 builds. (Hint: ratio is 20:0)

yeah i noticed that, my gut feeling was to spend the extra and go with RX580, i'm also wondering to wait another week to see what happens with next release of macOS

It's best to wait. I'm hoping Apple may have worked a deal like they did with Sonnet and Sapphire to provide an eGPU kit.
