Hey all, I just bought a surface laptop 3 for university based stuff but i would also like to do some gaming on it too. Does anyone know if it is possible to connect up a eGPU, it doesn't have thunderbolt 3 and I do not want to break the manufacturers warranty as its brand new/
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

An interesting fun fact: The name “ Microsoft” originated because spelled backwards it reads “we don’t support eGPUs”. 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Hello guys, I recently bought a surface laptop 3 which I am really enjoying however it has a terrible built-in gpu and also no thunderbolt only one usb- c... Does anyone know if using a usb-c with a egpu is possible?or worthwhile? or what egpu to get if so?

@seanlane, none of the Surface devices have thunderbolt 3. You will not be able to use an eGPU with it.
