Need advice running 6 monitors - not for gaming. Mac Mini
I'm looking to run 6 monitors for my:
2018 mac mini
3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7
64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
I'm looking to purchase:
ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT DirectX 12 RX 5700 XT TAICHI X 8G OC+ 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 HDCP Ready Video Card
as it has 6 video outputs.
using the Razer Core X
Has anyone tried this setup for 6 monitors? Will this work? Do you have a better option for running 6 monitors. This is for work, not gaming. My screens are 1920x1080
Thanks so much for any help.
That should work fine. If you want 6 DisplayPort 1.4, then you would have to go with a workstation card such as the W5700.
This build worked well for me. I still need to connect monitor directly to Mac mini on startup. Occasionally I have challenges waking up the mini from sleep. But graphics card is great for 6 displays.
@mclovin, Thank you for the update that it works. We'd love to see a picture of this entire setup!
Wow this is so great I've been looking everywhere for this type of a solution that has 6 outputs so I can use a single EGPU to run it off of my MacBook Pro So I only have a single thing to plug-in, and looks like I found it. Only problem is I can't actually find this graphics card anywhere for sale. Anybody know where I can actually buy it? I looked at every link on ASRock site and Amazon and google shopping.
