I need a portable computer, I am going to take the 2080ti out of my desktop and use it as an egpu.  I bought a razer core x.

I want a laptop with the following specs

i7 10875H (or better I9 10980HK)

16GB RAM (or better 32gb+)

1080p 144hz display or Oled 4k I haven't decided

17" screen but I would consider 15"

I am going to install my own ssd so ssd doesn't matter.

Gpu doesn't matter obviously.

Needs to have thunderbolt 3 obviously

Budget $1000-$2000 depending on specs

So far the best I have found is gigabyte Aero 17 / gigabyte aorus 17 / msi creator 17.

Thanks!

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@brendon_7358, I've seen the Gigabyte Aero OLED laptops at CES20 and they are very nice. The only downside is that most of the H-CPU laptops route their Thunderbolt 3 connection through the PCH rather than direct attachment to the CPU. If you would consider a U-CPU laptop, take a look at LG Gram 17 with i7-1065G7. Regardless of the host laptop you decide to go with, it's best not to run eGPU loopback to accelerate the laptop display. Gaming through an external monitor is better.
