Node a crumpled mess.. stronger alternative?

Well, after this most recent trip with my Node, it came off the plane a smashed up mess.
Even though I had it packed well inside a pelican case, it looks like the handle on the back took a little hit and the whole thing warped.
There was no way to remove the inner case without removing the bottom connecter on the outer case, and bending it off.

I've always been a disappointed by the build quality.

In the past, I've had cards die as well due vibration when mounted inside.
I've of course resorted to removing the cards for travel.

Now it's time for a solid replacement.
I travel for work a lot, and generally NEED to check the eGPU.

I'd love some suggestions on a replacement.
What is the most robust case out there?
Bonus points if it's smaller.

ALSO.. the electronics are still good.
Would love to just rehouse them and same some money if there's something commercially available?

Thanks for your input!

You may have to look into an "industrial computer chassis".  Ain't cheap but they'll take abuse.

I'd look into the construction of some of the eGPUs listed.  For example, Razer Core is a single CNC frame, so should be pretty tough
