Pcie1.1 * 2 connection with Dell Precision M4400
I currently connect the GTX 1060 with the EXP GDC 8.0 to the Dell PRECISION M4400 and it is working.
And I have a pcie 1.1 * 1 connection, but I found such a product http://www.bplus.com.tw/Adapter/PE4C%20V2.1-jp.html
I tried to purchase it because it was possible to connect pcie 1.1 * 2 by connecting two cables, but it was sold out
Is there any product that can be connected to pcie 1.1 * 2 with other eGPU dock?
Or pcie 2.0 Is there a way to connect?
Any help will be appreciated Thank you
Core 2 Extreme QX9300 (OC3.4GHz)
PE4H 2.4 or PE4C 2.1 can both run a x2 1.1 link. Though I'd suggest getting an EC 2.0 system instead for better everything - faster CPU/GPU/RAM/SATA-III plus a single-cable x1 2.0 eGPU. 3rd/4th gen systems are now very affordable in the secondhand market:
I am not going to purchase an EC 2.0 PC, because the Dell M4400 has an Expresscard slot * 1 and an mpcie slot * 3 so we can get a pcie 1.1*2 connection.
PE4H 2.4 and PE4C 2.1 is sold out when trying to purchase both with bplus and can not purchase, where do you buy it?
I have found such a product
"EXP GDC for M.2 connection"
This product has two HDMI ports.
If you connect [HDMI to mpcie] and [HDMI to Expresscard] one by one to this port, will it be connected to pcie 1.1 * 2?
As mentioned earlier, chasing a x2 1.1 capable eGPU adapter may be more difficult than simply updating your system to an EC or mPCIe 2.0 capable system. Then again, you may consider leapfrogging EC2/mPCIe2 to a much faster eGPU performance platform that than . . .
I have a Precision 7510 (successor to M4800) and am privately testing a M.2 x4 3.0 RX580 eGPU configuration using it's M.2 SSD port. Am testing an ADT-Link R43SL and EXP GDC 9.0b eGPU adapter. The latter is expensive and unreliable . . .
The performance with the ADT-Link R43L obliterates any prior EC2/mPCIe2 configurations and am seeing ~25% performance over TB3 in games like Dirt Rally. If you do consider updating then this is a great system to update to with near desktop GPU performance and lots of EFI eGPU flexibility. Makes a great hackintosh notebook too.
PE4H 2.4 an PE4C 2.1 had x2 1.x cabling capability. Good luck in your search finding what appears to be these discontinued BPlus products.
Is the mini pcie cable or expresscard cable of [EXP GDC 8.x] compatible with [PE4C 2.1] and [PE4H 2.4] ?
