Hello Guys,

I need your help deciding between the Razer Core X or the Razer Core X Chroma.

I use 5-7  USB-Ports so the need of an USB HUB is given in booth eGPU enclosures.

Also a ethernet Port would be nice and i have to connect a SSD.

I could get the Core X for 195 € (216$), the Core X Chroma for Retail 429€ ( 475$).

Please Help me deciding which eGPU i should choose.

My Setup:

Dell XPS 15 9570 with i9-8950HK Processor

Graphics Card for the eGPU is a GTX1070 form MSI.

@tobias_stsa Definitely go with the Core X at the prices in your market. The savings could almost get your a nice Thunderbolt 3 dock with all kinds of I/Os besides USB-A ports and Ethernet.

How should i connect the TB3 dock I only have 1 port at my Notebook?

Wouldnt it be a big loss of data if i connect it like that:

XPS 15 -> Dock-> Egpu

I thought about a 3.0 Hub. Whats your opinion about it?

No eGPU has 5 to 7 ports so you might as well get one with none and just get a USB hub for the other devices. I'm not sure about this since the buyer's guide doesn't list the number of ports and I'm too lazy to check them all.

Mantiz has 5x USB 3.0 plus internal SSD plus Ethernet. Aorus/Gigabyte boxes have 4 IIRC.

True already thought about the Mantiz Venus, but heard about a lot of problems with it too, beacause of only one TB Controller inside for Ports and GPU.
So i got insecure.
