Hello,
I have a Macbook Pro late 2011  13- inch
2.8GHZ  intel Core i7
16GB RAM, SSD HD
OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks

I only use my MAC for mixing music using Protools 10 software.

Recently I bough an external HD 1081 Monitor and connect it via thinderbolt and my Protools sessions keep crashing.
This is probably due to the internal GPU not being able to deal with both monitors and also sharing the system RAM.

I have bought and Akitio Thunder2 enclosure.

I would like to ask you, what Graphics Card do you recomend for me being that I'm not a gammer and will not play any games?
Just my system stable with Protools DAW software with an external HD monitor

Do you think that an GTX 780 or GTX 950  would be enough for this needs?

Thank you so much

Please anyone could give me some help?

Or just suggest any cheaper GPU, that will work well and be compatible with 2011 MacBooks and Akitio thunder2, easy to install,
that is small and doesn't need a lot of power?

Any simple, compatible, low consumption card for eGPU use?

thanks
