Was wondering if I can gain your help about something I have been trying to figure out.

I mainly do Adobe: Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Indesign, and Premiere work on occasion, I also use FCP X. With Affinity apps gaining some core features, I might use that as well.

I currently own an iMac 2013 (Thunderbolt 2) and MacBook Pro 15" -- Trying to figure out a graphics card to put in the chroma razer x. That I would use with the MacBook Pro when onsite and use with my iMac currently only having thunderbolt 2, but I am planning to get the new iMac 5k with USB c. Can you recommend me something?
I was thinking 2080 ti - but I know mac does not support Nvidia. But, I also know Adobe plays better with CUDA / Nvidia ---

Any thoughts?

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

i have a 2018 13" macbook pro running bootcamp with an rtx 2080.

if you need the egpu boost on the mac OS side. do yourself a favor and get an AMD card. it will save yourself so much headache and frustration.

they announced nvidia drivers but not for gaming cards. unless they add native support just get AMD.

There are no Nvidia drivers for macOS, your post is confusing.

OP a high end card would be way overkill for your use case, are you planning on using an external monitor?
