I just received my Samsung LC49RG and shortly after I had to realize that my MBP 13" 2018 can not deliver the full resolution. Currently the market for GPU's is frankly unexist so the choice is rather limited.
What I have:
- MBP 13" 2018
- Samsung LC49RG9
eGPU case I plan to get:
List of GPU's I've had a look at and I can get for a reasonable price:
- ASUS Radeon RX 560 4Go OC Edition
- Sapphire NITRO+ RX 580 8GB LE
I work in IT and do not have any graphicaly intense tasks. Will the RX 560 be good enough for the 5k display?
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@joshua_hemmings, hi there I have same display and I am very happy with the 5700xt sapphire. I believe the 580 should be the minimum although for very little more you could look at a 5600
